Before You Go: Second Annual St. Louis Contemporary Dance Festival presented by RESILIENCE Dance Company
Returning for a second year, the St. Louis Contemporary Dance Festival is an annual event hosted by RESILIENCE Dance Company connecting contemporary dance-makers across the country for performance, exchange, and dialogue. This two-day event includes four master classes and two evening performances at the Center of Creative Arts (COCA).
Through a formal application and adjudication process, RESILIENCE has selected 13 choreographers - a mix of local, regional and national artists - to participate in the curated festival. These participants have powerful choreographic voices, embody diverse perspectives, and are pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance.
In addition, the performance will include choreography from two of Resilience's company members, Renée Austin and Emmi Small, as well as a piece from RDC’s Choreographic Intensive Students choreographed by Will Brighton.
