This holiday season, Leverage Dance Theater breaks the mold of a 130 year-old tradition, inviting audiences to experience the magic from the inside out. "A Not So Normal Nutcracker" transforms a Cherokee Street storefront into a living fairytale, offering an intimate, multi-sensory journey for the whole family. The production runs for a limited engagement from December 13–21. Staged at 2700 Cherokee Street, guests will follow Clara, the Nutcracker, and the Snow Queen through a glittering portal into the Land of Sweets. Each room becomes a unique sensory adventure where Candy Canes, Gingerbread, Licorice, Marzipan, Tea, and Hot Chocolate come alive through a dynamic blend of music, movement, and design. The score weaves Tchaikovsky’s classic compositions with jazz, acoustic, hip-hop variations and new compositions.

Seen: STL is a semi-annual event hosted by RDC that showcases works-in-progress by local, independent dance artists. The goal of Seen is to create space for artistic vulnerability - there are no rules, no budgets, no time requirements, and no genre restrictions. Artists are simply encouraged to share and be seen. Submissions open six - eight weeks prior to the performance.

Grace Meraki is a faith centered, contemporary dance company based in St. Louis. Their first live show is a five piece journey from the depths of depression to saving grace in Christ. Please join them Saturday, December 6th for a night of artistry, community, and hope. “Finding Home” will be premiere at the Chapel of the Arts in collaboration with Space Station Dance Residency and Sports Medicine and Training Center.

STAGED is a platform for fresh choreographic voices furthering contemporary and experimental dance. Audiences will experience the St. Louis premieres by local choreographers: Elise Marie Harowitz, Dawn Karlovsky, Liliana Merifield, Melissa Miller, and Mary Ann Rund.
As part of this dynamic program, 13 guest artists from the St. Louis dance community will join the company’s dancers to form a fully integrated ensemble. This performance promises an evening of innovation, risk-taking, and creative dialogue—an opportunity to witness dance as an evolving art form that thrives on curiosity and collaboration.

STLDT Trainees Fall Concert
The STLDT Trainee Program is proud to present its Fall Concert, kicking off its 2025-2026 Language of Art Season. This concert will feature six new works choreographed by Brandon Fink, Brandon Hudson, Adam Parson, Mady Buerck, Emma Debski, and Bianca Brown. Experience an exhilarating evening as we amplify artistic voices through original repertoire created by an esteemed roster of local and national choreographers. Dance is a universal language and each performance on this exciting Trainee Season will celebrate the vibrancy of our community connections, artistic values, commitment to continued education, and multidisciplinary collaborations.
The Madcracker Gala by MADCO
The Madcracker returns! MADCO Artistic Director Arianna Russ is excited to reprise and reimagine excerpts of the parodic ballet for MADCO’s annual Madcracker Gala. Patrons will have the chance to celebrate the spirit of the season, support the company, and see excerpts of an old MADCO fan-favorite brought back to life! Lovers of dance are welcome to join us in their best holiday party attire for the first annual Madcracker Gala - an annual holiday fundraising gala held at St. Louis Academy of Dance, beginning at 6pm.

Described as “truly a masterful choreographer with an edge for what dance can and should be,” by the Temecula Performing Arts Examiner, her extensive catalogue makes her one of the most versatile creatives of our times.

Dances of India is one of the oldest classical Indian dance companies in the US! We are now in our 48th season and are a two-time National Endowment for the Arts Award honoree. The first half of our show consists of classical Bharata Natyam and experimental work. Guest Artists Patrick Suzeau--Professor Emeritus of Contemporary Dance at KU--, professional Bharata Natyam dancer Sanjay Shantaram from Bengaluru, India, and professional Bharata Natyam dancer Kiran Rajagopalan--whose roots are in STL!--will perform. The second half our show is the originally-scripted and narrated Nine Jewels: Music, Art, & Splendor in the Court of Akbar the Great. This features live vocal performance by Sanjay Shantaram. Local artist Isaiah Di Lorenzo will participate along with local dancer Thomas Proctor.

Big Plate Dance: Games & Tools for Movement Improv Workshop
Bring some play into your Fall and join Big Plate Dance for their Nov 8th workshop! This workshop is open to everyone curious about movement improvisation, no dance experience required.
Learn (or resharpen) tools for individual and group movement improv through games and guided explorations. This workshop is geared for all levels, so whether you already love improv or have never tried it before, Big Plate Dance hopes you will join them! After the workshop, stick around for the jam and play with your new skills. Light refreshments will be provided.
