Karlovsky & Company Dance STAGED: New Works in Contemporary and Experimental Dance
This fall at the Grandel Theater, Karlovsky & Company Dance premieres STAGED, a curated concert showcasing original works by both emerging and established choreographers.
STAGED is a platform for fresh choreographic voices furthering contemporary and experimental dance. Audiences will experience the St. Louis premieres by local choreographers: Elise Marie Harowitz, Dawn Karlovsky, Liliana Merifield, Melissa Miller, and Mary Ann Rund.
As part of this dynamic program, 13 guest artists from the St. Louis dance community will join the company’s dancers to form a fully integrated ensemble. This performance promises an evening of innovation, risk-taking, and creative dialogue—an opportunity to witness dance as an evolving art form that thrives on curiosity and collaboration.

Grace Meraki Dance Company: Finding Home
Grace Meraki is a faith centered, contemporary dance company based in St. Louis. Their first live show is a five piece journey from the depths of depression to saving grace in Christ. Ballet 314’s annual fall performance stuns with 4 unique contemporary ballet premieres by 4 local choreographers: “The Deal” by Marcela Gómez Lugo, “Astra Planeta,” by Rachel Bodi, “Our Eden” by Robert Poe, and the Ballet 314 premiere of Thomas Proctor’s "When Does Trauma Heal?” Celebrate the turn of the season with them as they offer the choice of an intimate matinee performance or luxe evening performance and fundraiser.
Evening VIP ticketholders will have exclusive access to preshow cocktail hour, open bar, appetizers, raffles and a post-show afterparty with the company. General ticketholders will have performance and raffle access, as well as one complimentary drink ticket.
Proceeds from all ticket sales as well as the evening's fundraising efforts will support Ballet 314's nonprofit as we invest in their professional company dancers that have chosen St. Louis as their home.

The concert showcases original choreography of senior BFA candidate Ally Lamkie, along with alumni from the class of 2025. THE PARADOX runs October 2nd and 3rd at 7:30 p.m. as well as October 4th at 2:00 p.m. The performance is located in Webster’s Stage III, the lower level of Webster Hall, 470 E. Lockwood Ave. The concert is free to Webster students and faculty, with general admission tickets $7-$15.

Our 8th MFA Dance Concert, ¿Te puedo contar algo?, showcases original dance works crafted by our MFA candidates, Tess Angelica Losada Miner and Lourdes del Mar Santiago Lebrón. With exclusively female ensembles, these choreographers will use dance to illuminate various facets of the diasporic experience. Losada Miner delves into themes of exile, lamentation, and longing, pondering what it is to mourn for a lost homeland. Meanwhile, Santiago Lebron dissects notions of abundance and scarcity through a sequence of interlinked vignettes. Join us for an unforgettable evening of dance.

TAPESTRY is an international concert collaboration of dance-theater with Karlovsky & Company Dance and Divadlo Štúdio Tanca from Slovakia opening March 21-22 at The Grandel Theatre in St. Louis, MO. Divadlo Štúdio Tanca, one of the foremost professional contemporary dance theater companies in Slovakia, will present Medusa and Somewhere, we begin again; two powerful works of physical-dance theater. Karlovsky & Company Dance will present the premiere of This Home, by choreographer and artistic director, Dawn Karlovsky. This featured work was inspired by the migration story of her family heritage in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. This Home explores themes of migration, displacement, and transformation, reflecting the universal human desire for a sense of place and belonging.
